What's New In Pop Culture?

After 13 years of marriage, football player Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen have announced their divorce. This comes just months after reports about Bündchen’s alleged disapproval of Brady’s return to football. The couple are still committed to making themselves both available for their 2 kids, and the financial aspects of their divorce seemed to have been resolved relatively simply due to a strong prenuptial agreement.

Pete Davidson and Emily Ratajkowski are reportedly dating, according to information from sources close to the pair and several reports of them being seen out on dates. Ratajkowski, however, seemed to hint on her TikTok that the two were not exclusive, although friends have said that the two “really like each other”. The alleged couple have also both recently exited serious relationships, with Ratajkowski filing for divorce from her husband of 4 years in September, and Davidson splitting with his girlfriend of nine months, Kim Kardashian, in August.

Disgraced entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for defrauding investors following the collapse of her healthcare technology corporation Theranos, which claimed to be able to revolutionize the healthcare industry by producing blood tests that could test for a wide range of conditions with only a couple drops of blood.

Ellen Pompeo announced she is leaving her iconic role as Meredith Grey in the hit TV show Grey’s Anatomy. After 17 years and 19 seasons, Pompeo is the last original cast member to leave the series, although both she and showrunner Shonda Rhimes hinted at possible reappearances in future seasons, although it’s unclear whether the show can go on without its longtime star.
