Adele’s New Album

Adele hasn’t released a song in 6 years. People were starting to think that this singer’s career was coming to an end. However, Adele had something else planned. On social media, Adele has been hinting for weeks about her new album. Finally, though, Adele announced that her album, 30, will be out on November 19th. She already released her song “Easy On Me” on October 15, 2021. The song references her divorce from Simon Konecki and their son. Because of this, it is suspected that there will be multiple depressing songs on this album. When interviewed about the album by vogue, Adele responds by saying that it is a lot more personal than her previous albums. Fans are now looking forward to this new era of Adele.

The Best and Worst of the Met Gala 2021

The Met Gala 2021 was certainly different this time around. Multiple influencers such as Addison Rae and Nikkietutorials were invited to the event and many people weren’t happy. People felt that there is a huge gap in status between influencers and celebrities. One tweet says “You know celebrity culture is going down the tubes when they invite youtubers to the Met Gala”.

Ignoring the fact that some people weren’t satisfied with the guest list, the public still enjoyed the gorgeous fashion that was worn this year. The theme was In America and Lili Reinhart was a beautiful example of a guest who stayed on theme. She wore a dress with a corset-like bodice and the state flowers of all 50 states scattered all around. On the other hand, Kendall Jenner wore a “naked dress” which was a sheer, fitted dress with a diamond pattern wrapped around her. As for her accessories, Kendall wore a chunky diamond choker and some sheer gloves. Both gloves and chunky necklaces have been very trendy this year. This was very fitting because Kendal Jenner has been at the height of many trends in 2021. The inspiration for her look was Audrey Hepburn’s My Fair Lady dress. Finally, Billie Ellish shocked everyone with her over the top peach ball gown. Billie Eilish is known for wearing baggy clothes and streetwear so seeing her in such a feminine outfit was unexpected. She now holds the record for wearing the most rings to the Met Gala which is 25. Billie Ellish says that her dress was inspired by the holiday barbies that she always admired as a kid.

Of course, there were some outfits that weren't as great. For example, many weren't as impressed by Kim Kardashian's outfit as they were with her sisters. Kim wore a head-to-toe black bodysuit that covered every inch of her skin. On top of this, Kanye matched her outfit with a black jumpsuit. Many were confused as to how her outfit fit the theme. Now, many people actually look at this outfit as a meme and are even dressing up as her for Halloween. Someone else who confused the crowd was ASAP Rocky. This rapper arrived wearing a colorful quilt wrapped around him. Though he eventually took the blanket off, many were still disappointed with his choice of couture. Finally, heads turned when seeing Kim Petras was wearing a horse head as an outfit. Petras said that she wanted to make a statement. Unfortunately, she left people feeling uneasy instead of inspired.

Squid Game is now the most-watched show in Netflix history. As of the last few years, South Korea has produced many popular forms of entertainment such as music and movies. Squid Game now adds to this by becoming the most-watched show on Netflix. In less than a month, Squid Game dominated Bridgeton with 111 million views. Besides this, the show has become the No. 1 most-watched show in 90 countries. Many people were drawn to this show because of the shock value. On top of this, many of the characters were likable to many fans. One of the most popular characters was 067, aka Kang Sae-byeok. With her looks and serious personality, many people were drawn to her. On the other hand, characters such as 218 (Cho Sang-woo) were hated for their actions. Many fans bond over their strong feelings toward these characters.
