Trader Joes Fall Food Reviews
The popular grocery store, Trader Joes, is held in esteem for their selection of goods being comprised almost exclusively of their own Trader Joe's brand. These Trader Joe-brand goods are also known for being rotated throughout the year to match up with every season. Now, since the beginning of fall, the summer and beach themed products of the summer (which had starred flavors of strawberry, watermelon, lemonade etc.) have been swapped out for autumn themed goods.
I will be reviewing an array of the fall themed products at Trader Joes right now. Each food will receive a flavor score, a presentation score, a creativity score, and an overall score. All of the scores will be out of ten, with one being the worst and ten being the best.
Pumpkin Spiced Joe-Joe's
If you are familiar with Trader Joes, you probably know that “Joe Joe’s” are the brand's version of oreos. This particular item features a pumpkin flavored sandwich cookie dipped in a layer of hardened pumpkin spice frosting. I found these to be very sweet, while they had an okay pumpkin spice flavor, it was overpowered by the sweetness of the cookie.
Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark
This pumpkin spice granola bark is perfect for those who love nuts and granola. It has a great base granola with a warm pumpkin spice flavor. The dark chocolate on top complements the granola, and the pieces are rather large. My only thing is that there are far too many pumpkin seeds which take away from the crunch and smoothness of the snack as a whole.
Pumpkin Spice Coffee
This pumpkin spice coffee is a great dark roast coffee blend. The pumpkin spice flavor of the coffee is actually noticeable and adds a great layer of depth to the drink overall. I found the coffee great to drink black, both hot and iced. The great difference between this coffee and other pumpkin spice coffees at other places is that the Trader Joe's coffee has pumpkin spice flavor within the beans rather than coming from an added syrup.
These pumpkin rolls are a twist on the traditional cinnamon roll. One would think that these pumpkin rolls would also incorporate pumpkin spice flavors and ingredients into the filling of the rolls, but this is not the case. These pumpkin rolls do not have any pumpkin spice flavors, instead these ready to bake rolls are simply just made with the added ingredient of pureed pumpkin. This resulted in a sickly sweet baked good with no flavor except for just sugar. If you are looking for a good cinnamon roll, stick with the traditional Pillsbury cinnamon rolls.
