Technology:melting graphics cards

With the release of the RTX 4090 comes many problems, the biggest one currently being the melting power connectors. An issue with the power connectors has caused some units to emit smoke and melt, destroying the card that costs over the price of a kidney. There are solutions, including plugging the power connector in differently and using a cable adapter, but so far many reports of destroyed units have come through, and with the ongoing chip shortage consumers have to use what they can get when it comes to graphics cards. Multiple warnings came from power supply manufacturers before these issues rose, but they were buried under the news of Elon musk buying twitter. AMD claims their future 6000 series cards will not have this connector. Speaking of AMD, it is suspected that their new cards will be quite faster than the old generation and the Nvidia, considering that it has been nearly 2 years since the last AMD GPU.
